Frequent Eating Can Lead To Less Weight Gain

A lot of people want to lose weight for several reasons. Some consider the idea for health reasons while others for aesthetic purposes. Whatever their reason maybe, losing weight can sometimes be a very difficult task which requires self discipline and control. On common method being used by people to lose weight is skipping meals which not only poses threat to one’s health but can also result to weight gain.

Studies show that girls who ate frequently put on fewer pounds and fewer inches to their waistlines. it was said that smaller, fewer meals give longer feelings of satiety which prevents over-eating.

A government-funded research showed that this is true. They found out that gives who ate six or more times a day had 6.5 points increase in BMI (Body Mass Index) while girls who ate three meals or less a day had a 7.8 point increase. Translated to weight gain, less frequent eaters gained 8 extra pounds.
