How to Capture YouTube Videos
If you have been using YouTube for any time at all you probably have run into a problem where you needed to capture youtube videos. How Come? Because by having those videos downloaded to your computer, you can save it in custom usb drives btw, you can make your own DVD or use it in power point presentations and even watch the videos when you are even connected to the Internet.
Still other reasons might be that you just can’t consitently get a fast enough internet connection to see the YouTube Videos without them clipping to buffer the video.
But there are ways to download the videos so you can use them.
Using desktop programs – One method is to just install cheap applications that will save the video. This works pretty good but a lot of these applications on the market will only save the video to flv file format. If this is the situation you just need to download a flv player on your computer and can watch them. The downside is that if you need to use the videos in a powerpoint presentation or make your own DVD you need them in a different video format – typically the mpeg or mp4 format.
Using Online Downloading Services – There are even online capturing services that will download the youtube videos. Like the software you have to check with them and see if they can also convert the videos into a another video file format. Like the software versions many will capture the flv files and want to sell you more software to convert those video files into a format more usable like the mpeg or mp4 file formats above. A good service to try is http://www.captureyoutube.net. They will capture the YouTube videos and convert them into many of the popular formats you want: AVI, MPEG, MP3, you name it.
Saving Videos from YouTube doesn’t have to be hard if you know where to look for the right service. Just make sure that they can also do the video conversion or you will usually need to buy additional software to do that step for you. Try to find a service that does it all in one step. Then you can watch or listen to your videos no matter where you are.
