The Last Exorcism Review

Well, here’s the thing. Have you ever felt so bored you’re practically looking for something to do? Well I did last night and so I followed my friend’s advice: I watched a horror movie alone. Last night, I watched The Last Exorcism because all my friends are raving about it.
I guess the movie is trying to catch the wave of the documentary-type fictional movies which was a big hit for the Paranormal Activity movies. It certainly had that same feeling though this was more… uhm..refined.

Well, anyway, I’m sorry to disappointed my friends but I found it quite boring. It couldn’t get my attention probably because the beginning was too narrative. But to give credit, it had a nice turn of events in the end. The thing with it though is that it wants to convey that it is a documentary film and yet the ending was not in line with this. If viewers were to believe that this is truly a docu-film, they’d start asking how’d the film reach the movies if (spoiler alert!) all the documentary team members were killed by the cult? Well, anyway, nice try.
